You will then proceed onto the run up the steps to the killacourt where you will then proceed down the tram tracks to the barrowfields. From here you will drop down towards Porth, passing Lusty Glaze Beach. The run will take you along Porth Beach to the Mermaid Inn where you will then proceed along the pavement climbing up out of Porth to Porth Four turns roundabout. You will then turn right heading back into town, once on the barrowfields you will run down the Tolcarne Beach access road and back along the beach to Towan to finish. If you are completing the Long course, you will re-enter the water for a 600m ‘M’ Swim and then back up the steps to the killacourt following Run lap 1 route until you reach the barrowfields where you will immediately descend down onto Tolcarne Beach via the access road and back to finish on Towan Beach.

In 2010 Chris began touring with his solo show ‘The Music of John Denver’ celebrating the life and work of the legendary singer/songwriter in his own unique way. He has recorded several radio specials for the BBC and toured extensively in the North of England for the last three years. Chris was honoured to be asked to perform in Aspen, Colorado in October 2012 for the annual celebrations of John Denver’s life and work. He performed with Steve Weisberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player on all his platinum albums during the 70’s. Chris and Steve performed several concerts together, their final performance in Aspen being an unforgetable show at Windstar – Denver’s eco awareness centre in the heart of the rocky mountains. John Denver’s longtime friend Peter Plantec said after Chris and Steve’s concert at Aspen Community Church, ‘I wasn’t watching John tonight but all of the magic was there.’ Chris brings his show to Lane Theatre, Newquay once again after a hugely popular show in 2014 and is very much looking forward to performing to a new audience and hopes to make it the first visit of many.
