Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is delighted to announce it will be bringing it’s Rainbow Run back to Newquay for the second year at RAF St Mawgan on Sunday 28th June.
This week the Fundraising Team and Care Team at CHSW’s Little Harbour hospice in St Austell were celebrating the return of the Rainbow Run with a practice paint throwing session!
After the success of last year’s event, which saw over 900 people take part and in the region of £60,000 pledged to CHSW, the Little Harbour Fundraising Team are keen to get as many people taking part as possible.
Rainbow Run is a 5k sponsored fun run where participants run, jog or walk through different coloured paint stations where they will get brightly covered powder paint thrown over them.
Kiley Tellam, Events Fundraiser for CHSW said; “This is such a fun event and it was absolutely fantastic last year to see so many people take part in Rainbow Run and support CHSW, we hope that everyone will join us again this year for an even bigger and brighter Rainbow Run!”
Ann’s Cottage are proud sponsors of the event and Owner and Director Rob Harris said;“As soon as we heard this event was happening again, we wanted to get involved. We are so happy to be sponsoring something so colourful and exciting again, for such a worthwhile cause. It will be a lot of fun so you won’t want to miss it!”
Anyone over the age of 11 years is able to take part in Rainbow Run. Registration costs £13.50 for 16+ and £8.50 for those 11-15 years old. Participants are then encouraged to raise as much money as they can through gaining sponsorship.

Funds raised from the Rainbow Run will go towards the care and supported offered by CHSW to children with life limiting conditions and their families in Cornwall and Plymouth. Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell offers families respite, palliative care, emergency care as well as end of life care and bereavement support.
The multi-disciplinary care team at Little Harbour provides one to one care for the children, giving parents the chance to recharge their batteries, have a break away from their tiring and relentless daily care routines and instead enjoy relaxing as a family again and making precious memories.
Your fundraising for Rainbow Run really can make a difference to the children and families that are supported by CHSW, helping them to make the most of short and precious lives.
